Dr. Bangart earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Midwestern University – Glendale in 2008, building on a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a Minor in Business Management from Brigham Young University. This distinctive academic foundation not only sharpens his clinical insight, but also enhances his leadership in practice development, patient communication, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
He went on to complete an intensive three-year surgical residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center, a Level II Trauma Center in Evansville, Indiana. There, he received advanced training in complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, gaining hands-on experience managing high-acuity trauma, tendon and joint disorders, and degenerative conditions.
Since completing his residency in 2011, Dr. Bangart has continued to push the boundaries of modern podiatric care through advanced education in regenerative medicine, minimally invasive procedures, and the latest innovations in surgical techniques. In 2010, Dr. Bangart presented at the prestigious American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) Scientific Seminar, where his research poster titled “Percutaneous Fenestration for Chronic Insertional Achilles Tendonitis”earned 3rd Place among national submissions. This study introduced a minimally invasive approach for treating a notoriously persistent condition, showcasing Dr. Bangart’s ability to combine precision and creativity in clinical problem-solving.
Building on that success, he returned to the ACFAS Scientific Seminar in 2011 to present his groundbreaking work:
“Repair of Peroneus Brevis Tendon with Acellular Collagen Matrix after Removal of Intratendinous Ganglion Cyst.”
This complex case study demonstrated not only his technical skill in tendon preservation and repair but also his early adoption of biologic grafts and regenerative techniques to promote natural healing and long-term structural integrity.
